Promising employees and growing companies have the opportunity to vet one another through the San Francisco-based online platform, which launched in D.C. last week.

Nicely is a six-month-old startup that lets locals ship a taste of D.C. to guests, family members or friends in the form of locally made snacks, beverages and treats.

“After many years of being a museum without walls, we are thrilled to make such experiences possible every day,” Children’s Science Center Executive Director Nene Spivy said in a press release.

For $2,250, students will learn the basics in web application development and coding over two weeks, while immersing themselves in the local tech scene. 

The $21 million raise will go toward hiring up to 100 new employees.

The salad chain has been a sensation since opening in Georgetown eight years ago and has since opened restaurants in Boston, New York and Philadelphia and L.A.
