Hired brings $100M in job offers to DC tech talent

Over 5,000 engineers and 140 companies in the D.C. region have signed up for Hired, a San-Francisco based company that launched in the District last week. Promising employees and growing companies have the opportunity to vet one another through the online platform that has raised $32.7M in funding since its start in 2012.

Working with local companies such as Opower, Trackmaven, Videoblocks, Contactually, Everfi and Araxid, the Hired has facilitated over $100M in job offers in the D.C. region alone.

“From corporations to startups, D.C. needs talent with modern skillsets like Ruby, Python and Javascript as they disrupt regulated industries like security, health care and education,” said Matt Mickiewicz, CEO of Hired in a release. “Our goal is to be the talent pipeline that fuels this innovation.”

Need more incentives to give it a try? Here are a few perks: Each candidate who lands a job receives a $2000 bonus and a welcome box with Dom Pérignon champagne & Hired swag; Candidates who refer friends can get $1,337 when the friend gets hired; and the company is also known for giving away awesome perks like hoodies, portable speakers like jamboxes, and even drones for referring friends.
