Columbia Property Capital has renovated a building on Newton St. NW.

Building permits were issued last week for the modern, side-by-side condos in Glover Park.

The permit, granted last week, expands an existing building and sets up the ground floor for a restaurant tenant.

A vacant lot at 17th and Rhode Island Avenue NE is set to become six large condos. "I'm a strong believer in Brookland," developer says.

Details are hazy, but another live/work concept may enter Northern Virginia soon.

The church is building 99 apartments, all of which will be designated affordable.

The developer is adding two stories and removing the false brick facade.

The project does not require approval from the Zoning Commission so it may move quickly.

The developers are proposing townhomes instead of apartments for the second phase of Fort Totten Square.

UIP has acquired the 90-plus-year-old building for $13 million, and will upgrade the entire property.

The 49-unit building offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units for those making less than 60% of the area median income.

They'll be part of a two-acre, 354-unit project near Stadium Armory.

4414 Benning Road has received its building permit and can move forward.
