Elevation DC beat writer says goodbye

Dear Elevation DC readers and #DCtech community,

Today marks my final day serving as Elevation DC's innovation and job news editor. It is a bittersweet day, as I have been with our publication since before we officially launched in January 2013.

First, I want to say thank you. Thank you for sharing your stories with me. I have learned so much from covering all of you. I have heard so many inspiring stories about starting and growing small businesses. I have marveled at the technological innovations you all seem to create out of an idea, some code and a "kickass team." I have loved hearing founder story after founder story—from ice cream to cybersecurity, kid-designed ties to venture funds—and what's more, I have loved getting to share those stories with our readers.

I am passing the mantle to Christina Sturdivant. Please make her feel just as welcome as you made me feel at my first DC Tech Meetup more than two years ago. I know she would love to hear what's happening with your companies in terms of news, jobs and general growth and development.

Finally, I can't really give you a forwarding address in terms of my next writing gig, but I will tell you that I'll be around. I'm still going to keep an eye on the #DCTech scene. You can always find me on Twitter at @ffxwriter.

Best wishes for the future, and may you all find the full-stack developers of your dreams!
