Yards Park has been awarded one of two top spots in the Urban Land Institute's Urban Open Space Award competition.
The award, according to ULI, "recognizes outstanding examples of transformative and vibrant public open space – large and small – that have spurred economic and social regeneration of their adjacent communities."
The award is shared with a park in Vancouver, and both beat out other semifinalists from New York, Nashville, and Wilmington, Calif.
