Whole Foods Market is coming to Shaw. The natural and organic grocery store has signed a lease for an approximately 40,000-square foot store at 965 Florida Avenue NW, according to a release sent by developers MRP and Ellis Development Group Wednesday.
No opening date has been set. The store is part of a 370,000-square foot mixed-use building, which is set to bring 400 residential units--of which 30 percent will be affordable--to Shaw.
The building, tentatively called the Griffith, could break ground in early 2016.
