Not one, but two parks pop up in DC

N Street NE pop-up park

There are two new parks popping up in the city.

Developer JBG built a funky community space, a pop-up park at N Street NE, adjacent to the Hyatt Place hotel, reports the NoMa BID.

At the park, visitors can enjoy playing with a series of oversized pentagonal dice, which can be moved around to make unique shapes. On the back wall of the pop-up park, visitors will see a mural by street artist Rubin. It is open throughout the week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Similarly, there is yet another space opened at 2020 K Street NW, reports BorderStan. Two street parking spaces on K Street have been reclaimed to become a new seasonal parklet, called parkKIT. Visitors can rearrange the yellow blocks at these spaces to create shapes. It also has triangle planters set at different heights. This will be open until October, and will host many weekly activities.
