New condos coming to Eckington

New details have emerged on a condo development coming to Eckington in northeast D.C.

Kensington Place, at 3rd and Rhode Island Ave NE, is a 10-unit townhouse-style project from 2112 to 2120 3rd St NE, according to the JBR Group, the real estate firm marketing the development. According to the plans posted online, Kensington Place is made up of five adjacent buildings each containing two units. Each is a three-bedroom, three-bath unit between 1,600 and 1,800 square feet; the upper units also have roof decks. It’s currently under construction.

Similarly sized homes and condos in the neighborhood sell for between $500,000 and $750,000, according to Zillow.com.

The developer, Kady Group, is a Lanham, Md.-based company that previously built The Floridian at 9th and U NW and Capitol Overlook at 221 R St NE. Elevation DC was unable to reach Kady Group by press time.
