Developer plans 370-unit apartment building in Brookland

Rendering of 901 Evarts St NE - will change based on feedback from the community

Rendering preliminary and will change based on feedback from the community

Adams Investment Group is planning to redevelop a parcel of land at 901 Evarts St NE, which is currently occupied by a one-story brick warehouse.

ANC 5B04 commissioner Joe Barrios shared the news in an email to constituents late Monday night.

Adams Investment Group plans a 370-unit apartment building, which is allowed under the land's current zoning. That means that the developer does not need to go to the Zoning Commission to request an exception, which may mean that the project could move quickly.

On its website, Adams Investment Group says its mission is "to create residential and commercial properties that fit into the neighborhood context, seamlessly blending new function with existing form."

This article has been updated to reflect new renderings from the developer, which are, it should be noted, likely to change based on feedback from the community.
