Van Gogh's "repetitions" are coming to the Phillips Collection.
The exhibit features various versions of some of the artist's well-known paintings so that viewers can "perch on his shoulder in the studio...to follow his process."
It's a rarity that these 30+ paintings are being exhibited together; normally they are shown separately in museums in New York, Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
