Fast Company has taken a look at D.C.'s new Walmarts, both of which opened Wednesday.
At Walmart #5968, the one on Georgia Avenue, writer Charlie Fishman was surprised.
"I’ve driven by it at least a dozen times in the last two months and I had no idea it was there," he writes. "It’s chocolate brown; not a hint of Supercenter-gray...The two Washington Walmarts definitely plug a hole in Walmart’s geography," he writes. (In most parts of the U.S., the nearest Walmart is less than 15 miles away.)
