Mattress supplier Casper to open Snooze Bar in DC

D.C. residents will have another place to get their snooze on (or at least test out a comfy mattress) thanks to N.Y.-based mattress supplier Casper, reports Tech Crunch.

The pop-up, according to Casper's site, is coming to Cady's Alley in Georgetown starting tomorrow, May 13, and running until the 17th. The website is also offering gourmet waffles.

The startup has received $15 million in funding selling high-quality mattresses online at affordable prices by cutting out the commission-based middleman.

D.C. residents will join New York and Los Angeles, which already have showrooms, in a brick-and-mortar location that will allow potential customers to test before they buy, but they’ll still have to purchase online.

Casper pop-up stores are also coming to San Francisco and Austin.
