A "parklet" may be coming to 1333 14th Street NW, in front of the coffee shop Slipstream.
At its April meeting, ANC 2F’s Community Development Committee voted unanimously to support installing a pilot parklet in front of the coffee shop Slipstream, pending approval of the full committee at its May 6 meeting, according to ANC 2F meeting minutes.
Begun last fall, the parklet program places mini-parks the size of a parking spot in qualified parking lanes around the city for up to one year. If approved, the Slipstream parklet would be the city's first.
