Rhode Island Ave pan-Med restaurant Nido will open spring/summer

2214 Rhode Island Avenue

Nido, the Mediterranean restaurant coming to Rhode Island Ave NE, is aiming for a spring/summer opening, according to Rhode Island Ave Insider

The space is in the process of renovations now. "Long gone is the dark walls and dark lighted space that once was Lace," RIA Insider writes. "Erin [Lingle] and Karlos [Leopold] are bumping out the facade to put in a full glass windowed front, and along with the huge sky light, sun light will flood the main floor."

Both the ground floor and basement have full bars.

Nido fills the space that was previously Lace on the Avenue, a straight-friendly lesbian bar which later became just a bar. It's on the same block as other new additions to Rhode Island Ave NE, like Zeke's Coffee, The Bespoke Kitchen, a supper club,  KAOOS Gym and Serenity Place Yoga.
