The mixed-use project, which has been in the works for years, moved closer to approval when the Historic Preservation Review Board accepted two key elements in its design. With ten buildings affected on the 600 block of H Street, the project has the potential to completely remake Chinatown.

ArtView is currently a vacant lot but should deliver in a year.

Owner/architect Robert Bell is restoring the historic facade, restoring the neon sign, and planning to convert the building to mixed use.

No building permit yet for this project but the work behind the scenes is ongoing.

NOVO Properties has begun construction on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue...southeast.

The $230 million project, working its way through the approval process, could bring 230 new apartments and two hotels to Shaw.
