Non-profit developer Manna Inc. proposes to subdivide one lot into three at the corner of 8th and T Streets NW, and to construct two market-rate and four affordable flats.

"With so much excitement surrounding a possible location in Shaw – a fun, vibrant and culturally significant neighborhood – we’re thrilled to make it official," Whole Foods exec says.

A building permit was issued in January to combine two homes into one eight-unit condo building at 2305 Ontario Road NW.

The sales office for 14th Street's newest residential project, a condo building at 1436 Chapin Street NW, opened two weeks ago and four of the seven units are already under contract. 

ArtView is currently a vacant lot but should deliver in a year.

The annual event shows what uses street parking could be put to besides cars.

Gallagher and Graham, a liquor store emphasizing the local, plans to open Oct. 1 at 12th and U NW.

The condo building incorporates two historic buildings, one of which was once the headquarters of DC's Wilkins Coffee Co, made famous by Jim Henson's commercials.

The $42 million project will be complete by late 2015.

The panel touted as exploring "new development frontiers" didn't exactly deliver said frontiers, but tidbits from existing markets in the District are enticing.
